Ioannis Nasioulas | Biographical Note

Ioannis NASIOULAS is the founder and CEO of the Social Economy Institute. He is a Doctor of Sociology at the University of the Aegean specialized in the evaluation of the social economy and social investments. He is a member of CIRIEC International, its General Assembly, its International Board and International Scientific Commission "Social and Cooperative Economy".

Dr. Ioannis Nasioulas is an elected Member of the Municipal Council of Thessaloniki, Greece and head of the Municipal Political Party "Start-Up Thessaloniki".

Dr. Ioannis NASIOULAS is EXPERT of the European Commission:

Visiting Fellow-Select of the EPSC European Political Strategy Center, providing targeted support and advise to the European Commision's President and the College of Commissioners.

EXPERT of the TAIEX (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange), European Commission, Directorate General "Enlargement", facilitating the transfer of the aquis communautaire to EU candidate and connected countries, having participated in missions in Moldova, Serbia and Belarus.

EXPERT, European Commission, Directorate General Regional and Urban Policy, Smart and Sustainable Growth and Southern Europe, Competence Centre Smart and Sustainable Growth

EXPERT of the European Commission, European Commission Group of Experts on Social Entrepreneurship (GECES), which forms part of the "Social Business Initiative" launched by the European Commission in 2011 to contribute to the development of a sustainable social economy sector in Europe (2012-2015).

EXPERT of the European Commission's GECES Sub Group of Experts on "Social Impact Measurement", which developed a EU-wide methodology for the identification and monitoring of the Social Economy and social enterprises and the documentation of their combined output, especially in the context of European Social Entrepreneurship Funds (EUSEFs) and the Programme for Employment and Innovation (EaSI) (2013-2014).
